“MIREYA is officially underway!
This week, the MIREYA consortium held its first online pre-kick-off meeting, marking the start of a new collaboration to advance our understanding of how environmental exposures influence rare cancers in children, adolescents and young adults (AYAs).
By combining population-based cancer registry, environmental, socioeconomic and multi-omic data with innovative AI-driven analyses, MIREYA will generate new evidence to support cancer prevention, reduce inequalities and improve outcomes for young people across Europe.
The project officially started on 1 June 2026, and we look forward to meeting all consortium partners in-person at the official Kick-off Meeting on 10 September in Milan.
