“Introducing our EU PHARMA ADVOCACY Series!
Over the next few months, SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) will illustrate their joint policy position with Childhood Cancer International – Europe on the EU Pharma Legislation – now under discussion in the Council of the European Union – through a series of dedicated monthly posts.
Children with cancer deserve better treatment options. The current EU Pharmaceutical Legislation fails to address their urgent medical needs. Only 16 paediatric cancer drugs have been approved in the last decade – compared to 150 for adults.
Join us in this journey to discover how we would like to address and improve the current legislation to ensure innovation, access to medicines, and equality for every child with cancer across Europe.
Together, we can ensure that no child with cancer is left without treatment. Let’s make the EU Pharma legislation work for them!
