The Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean Group’s (POEM) 4th Scientific Meeting
The Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean Group (POEM) will host its 4th Scientific Meeting, in Amman, Jordan, from May 1 to 3, 2025.
This important gathering will bring together pediatric oncologists, researchers, nurses, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups from across the region and beyond to collectively advance the field of childhood cancer care.
The meeting will focus on cutting-edge developments in pediatric oncology, emphasizing the value of multidisciplinary collaboration, holistic care models, and capacity building through professional training. Participants will explore strategies to enhance regional collaboration, bridge treatment disparities, and improve outcomes for children with cancer through innovation, policy development, and data-driven decision-making.
A significant component of the meeting will be dedicated to sharing data and research findings, promoting collaborative research frameworks, and identifying key performance indicators that can be used to evaluate the real-world impact of regional initiatives in pediatric oncology. Sessions will also examine regional resource utilization and how healthcare systems can work together to ensure equitable access to life-saving treatments across all member countries.
The scientific sessions will take place from May 1 to 3, while specialized workshops will be held on April 30 and May 3.
The event is designed for a broad spectrum of professionals, including physicians, scientists, nurses, pharmacists, foundations, and healthcare advocates involved in pediatric cancer care and research. Attendees will have opportunities to engage in high-level scientific discussions, network with regional and international leaders, and participate in hands-on training aimed at improving both clinical and systemic outcomes in pediatric oncology.
