Niyobuhungiro Elysee: IHCRI-Rwanda Announces Keynote Speaker for London Global Cancer Week 2026 Session

Niyobuhungiro Elysee, Founder and Executive director at IHCRI-Rwanda, shared IHCRI-Rwanda’s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“Cancer Knows No Boundaries – And Neither Should Our Commitment to Cancer Care!

At IHCRI-Rwanda (Internal Health Cancer and Research Initiative Rwanda), we are deeply grateful to Dr. Jean de Dieu Hategekimana, the Rwanda Biomedical Centre, and all the distinguished speakers who have accepted our invitation to be part of our London Global Cancer Week 2026 session.

Your willingness to share your expertise, experience, and perspectives will make this global conversation richer, more meaningful, and more impactful. We truly appreciate your commitment to advancing cancer research, prevention, treatment, palliative care, and capacity building.

Cancer is a challenge that concerns all of us.

Research estimates that approximately 1 in 5 people will develop cancer during their lifetime. But behind every cancer diagnosis is not simply a statistic.

  • There is a person.
  • There is a family.
  • There is a story.
  • And there is a life that matters.

This is why we believe that no one should be left behind in the fight against cancer. Every person deserves the opportunity to access timely prevention, early detection, accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, quality palliative care, and compassionate support – regardless of where they live or their circumstances.

We are especially grateful to London Global Cancer Week for creating a platform where people and organizations from around the world can come together to discuss equality in cancer care, strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, and work toward removing disparities in cancer care.

‘Cancer is a global challenge that requires a global response.’

By bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, institutions, advocates, and communities, we can move beyond discussion and strengthen the collective action needed to ensure that every person affected by cancer receives the care and dignity they deserve.”
