TIL Therapy and the Role of Clinical Trials in Advancing Melanoma Care – Melanoma Research Foundation

Melanoma Research Foundation shared on X:

“After a 2019 melanoma metastasis diagnosis and little hope, Paty Garcini enrolled in a clinical trial for Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte (TIL) therapy at City of Hope.

3 months post treatment, Paty was told that she was cancer free! TIL therapy, or lifileucel (brand name Amtagvi), became FDA-approved in 2024 for adult patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma that has progressed after treatment with a PD-1 blocking antibody. Paty’s courageous melanoma journey speaks to the importance of clinical trials and cancer research.

Hear from Paty in this recent Fox News.
Tonight segment on how TIL therapy gave Paty and her family hope for a future without melanoma.

We recently featured a Spanish language version of our TILTuesday campaign with Paty which can be viewed here.
