MD Anderson has received a $10 million gift to support Be Well Beaumont initiative

“MD Anderson has received a $10 million gift from ExxonMobil to support our Be Well Beaumont initiative.
This program partners with East Texas employers, organizations, and families to promote wellness and decrease the risk of cancer.
Cancer prevention is a cornerstone of our mission to end cancer, says Dr. Peter WT Pisters, president of MD Anderson.”

Peter Pisters leads The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, driving research in cardiology, transplantation, neurosciences, oncology, surgical innovation, infectious diseases, genomic medicine, and rehabilitation medicine.
He contributes to academic journals like the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Surgery, and reviews for various publications. His research, concentrated on sarcomas, GI cancers, and other malignancies.
