Researchers at The University of Manchester are investigating whether breast milk can reveal early signs of breast cancer before the disease is detected through a blood test or scan.

The pioneering BRACELET-BM study could help improve diagnosis during or shortly after pregnancy, when detecting breast cancer can be particularly challenging. The team is now recruiting breastfeeding women at the Nightingale Centre in Wythenshawe.
