LUNGevity Foundation shared on LinkedIn:
“We’re harnessing the power of digital tools to help people take the next step toward lung cancer screening.
In a LUNGevity-supported study at Baptist Health South Florida, a patient portal message about lung cancer screening generated more than 12,000 clicks and 871 people completed the eligibility screener, with 21 people immediately connecting with a primary care provider.
In addition, researchers demonstrated that electronic health record tools work best when they target both patients and providers, while also being backed by engagement, navigation, and follow-through.
Next, the team plans to strengthen provider adoption, refine outreach, and build a coordinated model that empowers more eligible people to get screened for lung cancer.
This research was presented at the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer.”
