Strengthening Pediatric Oncology through Excellence in Training

From 1 to 5 September, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 8th cohort of the University Diploma in Pediatric Oncology (DUCP) for a week of intensive, high-level training in pediatric oncology. The DUCP is a university-accredited program delivered by Mohammed V University of Rabat in partnership with Université Paris-Saclay.

This week of advanced teaching brings together the 8th promotion of 25 pediatric oncology professionals from across Francophone Africa, with participants from: Morocco, Senegal, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Djibouti, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Madagascar.

Over five days, the program combines high-level academic teaching, clinical expertise, case-based discussions, and experience sharing, covering major childhood cancers including lymphomas, abdominal tumors, bone and germ-cell tumors, and childhood leukemia.

Beyond knowledge transfer, the DUCP is about building a community of professionals, strengthening local expertise, and creating the conditions for sustainable improvements in childhood cancer care across Africa.

This program is made possible through the commitment of the GFAOP, Fondation Sanofi, and the Société Marocaine d’Hématologie et d’Oncologie Pédiatrique, together with our academic partners.

Training excellence today to transform childhood cancer care tomorrow.
