“ACHA Advocacy ECHO Program is returning with Series 2, jointly delivered by IGCS – International Gynecologic Cancer Society, AORTIC- Africa, Project ECHO and KILELE Health. This time, we are putting communication at the centre of efforts to accelerate cervical cancer elimination across Africa, building on the learning established through the first ACHA ECHO Series.
This series will bring together Health Advocates, CSOs, Health Professionals, Researchers and Champions from across Africa to focus on how stronger communication can help us:
- Build trust in cervical cancer prevention and care
- Counter misinformation and misconceptions
- Reduce stigma and fear surrounding cancer
- Strengthen demand for HPV vaccination, screening and timely care
- Share communication approaches and lessons that can be adapted across African settings
Through expert-led presentations, country experiences, peer-to-peer learning and interactive discussions, participants will have an opportunity to learn from one another and explore practical approaches to strengthening cervical cancer communication.
The series begins this September, with more information on the topics and speakers to be shared soon.
