Ilaria Colombo, Medical Oncologist at Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland – IOSI, shared on LinkedIn:
“A truly meaningful few days at the IGCS Conference in Montreal.
What made this conference truly special for me was celebrating the Lifetime Achievement Award of my mentor, Amit Oza. He is an extraordinary leader, a remarkable and compassionate physician, and someone who has profoundly shaped my professional journey.
I have learned so much from him – about medicine, leadership, perseverance, and, most importantly, the importance of caring for patients and people. I will be forever grateful for his guidance, trust, and example.
It was also wonderful to reconnect with colleagues who over the years have become friends and family. These relationships are one of the most meaningful parts of our profession.
Being part of a global conference like IGCS is also a reminder of how much work remains to ensure equitable access to the best possible cancer care for patients everywhere.”
