More Than 7 in 10 Cancer Cases in Africa Occur in People Younger Than 65 – IARC

International Agency for Research on Cancer shared on LinkedIn:

“Cancer is often thought of as a disease of ageing but in the WHO Regional Office for Africa, more than 7 in 10 cases occur in people younger than 65, more than in any other World Health Organization region.

This is partly driven by high incidence of breast cancer and cervical cancer in younger women.”
