Every clinical trial follows a detailed plan known as a protocol. A protocol outlines how a study will be conducted, including who can participate, what treatment is being studied, what tests and procedures will occur, and how researchers will measure outcomes.
Protocols help ensure that all participants are treated consistently and that studies are conducted according to established scientific and ethical standards. They also play an important role in protecting participant safety throughout the research process.
