Application deadline: 1 November 2026 ”
To which, Bishal Gyawali, Medical Oncologist, Professor of Oncology at Queen’s University, added:
“This is great news and fantastic leadership from ESMO. We need more treatment optimization de-escalation trials. These trials are patient centric but won’t be funded by industry. So these funding opportunities through organizations like ESMO are incredibly important.
If someone is looking for deescalation trial ideas, see Table 1 of this paper.”
Also, Dario Trapani, Medical Oncologist at IEO European Institute of Oncology, added:
