The 3rd Synergies Forum on Cancer: Policy, Research and Funding Strategies, organized by the Hellenic Cancer Federation/ELLOK, brought together leading experts, healthcare professionals, policymakers, researchers, and patient advocates to discuss the future of cancer care.
During the forum, Antonis Tryphonos, Chief of Staff and Patient Director at PASYKAF (Cancer Patients and Friends Association, Cyprus), shared with OncoDaily his insights in an interview on the importance of translating cancer policy discussions into real improvements for patients.
He highlighted the challenges faced by people living with cancer, including psychological, financial, and rehabilitation needs, and emphasized the importance of patient navigation, coordinated care pathways, and collaboration between patients, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
