Dillon Cockrell: Patient-Centered Care Remains Central to the Future of Prostate Cancer Treatment

Dillon Cockrell, GU Medical Oncologist at Duke Cancer Institute, shared a post on X:

“Enjoyed joining our DCI Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancer team at the Duke Cancer GU Community Education Event to discuss advances in Prostate Cancer care with experts in urology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology, now featured in our Duke GUrus Fall 2026 newsletter.

Our patient-centered discussion focused on personalized prostate cancer management in the modern era: using biomarkers, genetics, imaging and patient goals to individualize treatment. For patients, understanding their options (which are often many!) boosts confidence in the treatment plan and their team.

Our work expanding early-phase clinical trial access at Duke Raleigh Campus Cancer Center is also highlighted.”
