Zorana Maravic Discusses Pancreatic Cancer Prevention at UEG Week 2026 – Digestive Cancers Europe

Digestive Cancers Europe, shared on LinkedIn:

“Today, DiCE CEO Zorana Maravic joined the Pancreatic Cancer Europe meeting, ‘Pancreatic Cancer Primary Prevention and Screening Interventions’ on day one in Barcelona!

In her presentation,

‘From Awareness to Action: Building Public-Health Policy for Pancreatic Cancer Prevention and Early Detection’

Zorana highlighted the urgent need for stronger public health action.

With most patients diagnosed at an advanced stage, pancreatic cancer remains a major public health challenge. While population-wide screening is not yet available, we can act now by:

  • raising awareness of modifiable risk factors
  • improving the identification and surveillance of people at high risk
  • strengthening European collaboration and research to develop effective early-detection strategies.

A meaningful start to UEGWeek2026, with more discussions and opportunities for collaboration ahead.

Stay tuned for updates!”
