Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer shared on LinkedIn:
“Debbie’s Dream Foundation was proud to collaborate with Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital for understanding Gastroesophageal Cancer:
A Patient and Community Symposium, bringing together patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and members of the community for an evening of education, shared experiences, and conversation.
Throughout the symposium, experts explored important topics across the gastroesophageal cancer journey, from early detection and diagnosis to surgery, treatment options, clinical trials, nutrition, wellness, and supportive care.
We were especially grateful to the patients who shared their personal experiences, reminding us why bringing lived experience together with clinical and research expertise is so important.
Our sincere thanks to Dr. Raghav Sundar, Symposium Chair, for his leadership; to each of our speakers and panelists for sharing their expertise; and to our partners at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital for collaborating with DDF to make this program possible.
We are also grateful to Merck, Astellas Pharma, and Bristol Myers Squibb for their generous support of Debbie’s Dream Foundation’s 2026 educational symposia.
Take a look through some of our favorite moments from the evening.
