Cancer Institute NSW shared on LinkedIn:
“Last week, the Institute hosted its first cervical screening self-collection pop-up clinic at the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association and Midwives’ Association Annual Conference.
Partnering with Family Planning Australia, we connected with nurses and midwives, shared cervical screening resources, and supported eligible attendees to complete their screening through self-collection.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many attendees reflecting on how easy it is to put their own health last while caring for others.
A big thank you to our team, Corinne Avery, Kidest Nadew, Anukreti Arya, Kimberley Yip and partners for making this initiative such a success. Helping healthcare workers prioritise their own health was a truly rewarding experience.”
