Where: Hyatt Regency Coral Gables, Miami, Florida
Agenda at a glance:
- Pre-Event Reception: 5:30 PM – 6:15 PM

Together, we will create opportunities for healthcare professionals to strengthen awareness, collaboration, and pathways toward more timely multiple myeloma diagnosis.
According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), 30% of multiple myeloma patients are diagnosed in emergency settings, often after the disease has already advanced.
This pattern is associated with a mortality rate approximately 2x higher. A newly published national survey highlights this critical gap among primary care providers, revealing that knowledge and testing gaps in the ‘front door’ of care are driving preventable delays.
The survey suggests that 50% of primary care providers do not order any testing for plasma cell disorders, and among those who do, a minority order the guideline-recommended paired testing strategy which is needed to detect light-chain-only myeloma, which accounts for 20% of all myeloma cases.”
