19 health leaders have united to create the City Executive Committee as part of C/Can Initiative
City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“In Concepción, 19 health leaders representing 23 institutions have united to create the City Executive Committee (CEC) – the governance body that will support efforts to improve cancer care in the region as part of the City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) Initiative.
Dr. Eduardo Barra Jofré, Regional Ministerial Secretary of Health for Biobío, sums it up: ‘Cancer is an issue of great relevance for the citizens of Greater Concepción, Biobío, and the country in general.’
With support from C/Can, this multisectoral team will work to close gaps in access, streamline diagnostics, and enhance treatment quality. This is just the beginning, with plans to develop data-driven solutions that will serve as a model for the rest of Chile.
