“Empowering Change: Young minds take on NCDs.
‘Why is nothing being done to stop the production of harmful products like cigarettes and alcohol, which pose a significant threat to global health?’ This thought-provoking question was posed by an inquisitive S.S. 2 student at St. Philips Academy, Tina Junction, Jos.
It’s a valid concern, considering the well-documented health risks associated with these products. If we acknowledge the harm they cause, shouldn’t we target the root of the problem and restrict their availability in the marketplace?
The campaign against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) must confront this inconsistency head-on. By empowering young minds like this student and working together towards a common goal.
We can create a future where harmful products are no longer a threat. Together, we can build a healthier world for all. Change is possible, By mobilizing young minds and collective action, we can challenge the status quo and create a future where harmful products no longer threaten public health.”
