“I tend to forget how much energy I use when engaging with people, especially at huge conferences. Here are some more awesome pics! My post-cancer body was literally on fire with pain every single minute at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Not every cancer survivor is physically thriving. Read that line again. When I have told people I am in pain 24/7 due to multiple conditions stemming from the collateral damage of cancer treatments and multiple surgeries, they always say they can’t tell and some have even questioned the severity of my pain.

Those of us who suffer from chronic pain in multiple areas post-cancer have learned to mask it when around others who could never understand the severity of it. I pull on my theatre background a lot to push through it.

After all, the show must go on!”
