Cedars-Sinai is co-chairing a special AACR conference on transforming the field of Bladder Cancer on May 17-20

Cedars-Sinai Co-Chairs Special Conference in Cancer Research Covering Transformational Developments in Treatment

In partnership with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), Cedars-Sinai Cancer Director Dan Theodorescu, MD, PhD, is co-chairing a special conference titled “Bladder Cancer: Transforming the Field” May 17-20 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The past three decades have brought few advancements in the treatment of bladder cancer, which is diagnosed in roughly 573,000 patients worldwide each year, resulting in more than 200,000 deaths. Scientific progress in recent years has led to more targeted interventions and more successful immunotherapies, and the conference will cover these breakthroughs and their potential implications for future progress.

The program will address core biological principles, disease models, and the clinical aspects of bladder cancer and the exciting use of artificial intelligence in this field. The conference will convene globally recognized pioneers in the field of bladder cancer, emphasizing diversity in terms of geography, ethnicity, and gender.
