Joann B. Sweasy has been elected by the members of AACI to serve as vice president/president-elect of AACI’s Board of Directors – Association of American Cancer Institutes

”Joann B. Sweasy, PhD, director of the University of Arizona Cancer Center has been elected by the members of AACI to serve as vice president/president-elect of AACI’s Board of Directors.
Three new board members were also chosen: Edward Chu, MD, MMS (Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center); Raymond N. DuBois, MD, PhD (MUSC Hollings Cancer Center); and Yolanda Sanchez, PhD (University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center). They will replace outgoing board members Roy A. Jensen, MD (The University of Kansas Cancer Center), and Cornelia Ulrich, MS, PhD (Huntsman Cancer Institute). Dr. Sweasy is also finishing her term as a regular board member.
The new board members will begin their terms and Dr. Sweasy will start in her role as vice president/president-elect in October, during the 2023 AACI/CCAF Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.”
