Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF) shared on LinkedIn:
“Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF) was privileged to be part of an impactful high-level stakeholders engagement, graciously hosted by the Honorary Minister of Health, Muhammad Ali Pate at the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Headquarters.
Our esteemed guest, Sania Nishtar, the newly appointed CEO of Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, graced us with her presence during her visit to Nigeria. Dr. Nishtar’s visit was a beacon of hope, focusing on fortifying healthcare collaboration not only within Africa but also specifically with Nigeria, a nation striving for excellence in healthcare.
As we engaged in fruitful discussions, we explored avenues to strengthen partnerships with the federal government, aiming to leverage funding strategies that will pave the way for sustainable healthcare initiatives.
Additionally, the on-site assessment of GAVI’s country engagement provided invaluable insights into areas of improvement and optimization. In Nigeria, the need for robust healthcare collaborations and initiatives is more critical than ever. With approximately 60% of the population lacking access to basic healthcare services and a good number of the population facing significant health challenges such as malaria and maternal mortality, our collective efforts are paramount in driving positive change.
Let’s continue to forge ahead together, leveraging partnerships and innovative strategies to build a healthier, more resilient Nigeria.”
