I am proud to announce that Abuja joins City Cancer Challenge! 🇳🇬
Addressing Nigeria’s cancer burden, the second-highest in the continent, is a huge challenge that requires strong political commitment and cross-sector collaboration.
And that’s exactly what we’ve witnessed in Abuja: an administration that has prioritised Universal Health Coverage, and a city task force that has brought together public and private stakeholders ensuring cancer care solutions are tailored to the needs of patients.
Moreover, as Nigeria leads ECOWAS this year, this initiative can resonate widely, including vital platforms like the ECOWAS Commission and ECOWAS Parliament.
