Your voice is the key to changing lives forever – American Cancer Society Northeast Region
American Cancer Society-Northeast Region shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Your voice is the key to changing lives forever. Not just any kind of change: One that can directly improve the health of Black women for generations to come. VOICES of Black Women, a groundbreaking initiative led by the American Cancer Society, is calling on Black women from all walks of life to join the movement.
This isn’t just a study; it’s a collective commitment to understanding and improving the health of Black women across the nation. And that change starts with you. Let your VOICE be heard. Learn about the voices study and find out if you’re eligible by visiting voices.cancer.org.”
Marianne Sarcich, Breast Cancer Survivor, Founder of Breast Health 101 with Marianne, shared this post on LinkedIn, adding:
“This. This is so essential. especially now. Did you know when it comes to breast cancer, black and white women are diagnosed at about the same rate. But. Black women have a 40% higher mortality rate than white women.
That’s not the only difference. And all of it causes harm. Perhaps this new initiative from the American Cancer Society will help to close that disparity gap. Lessen the suffering. And save lives.”
