We heard firsthand from cancer survivors and cancer care advocates how social determinants can influence a patient’s ability to stay in treatment during the Patient Forum at ASCO23.

Panelist and advocate Dr. Mandi Pratt-Chapman shares helpful questions cancer care providers can ask, like ‘Who makes up your support network?’ and ‘Do you need financial support for treatment?’, to better understand the barriers their patients face and better meet their unique needs.
