Highlights from the 43rd ESSO

The 43rd ESSO  took a place from October 2 to October 4, 2024, in Antwerp, Belgium.

The European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) is a professional organization established in 1981. Its primary mission is to advance the science and practice of cancer surgery for the benefit of patients through education, research, and innovation. The society aims to unify the surgical oncology community and advocate for the importance of surgical oncology in cancer treatment.

ESSO organizes Europe’s largest annual congress in surgical oncology, bringing together over 4,000 members from various disciplines. This annual event is a significant gathering for professionals in the field of surgical oncology, focusing on innovation and education.

This year’s program focuses on Innovation and Education in Surgical Oncology. Particular emphasis is given to trending technologies in treating cancer, such as AI, fluorescence-guided surgery, and robotic surgery.
