As cancer care continues to evolve, driven by advancements in technology like AI, I am thrilled to announce our official partnership and MOU signing with NextWear. Together, we are conducting a rigorous clinical trial on their innovative Smart Bra Diagnostic Device at our facility.
The bra device leverages AI to accurately detect abnormalities in the breast, enabling early detection of breast cancer. By embarking on this trial, we aim to make the technology easily available to women.
Similarly, we congratulate Ms Bolarinwa and her team at Nextwear for the commencement of $5 million seed fundraising for the Smart Bra Cup Diagnostics Device led by BAFING PROJECTS, Geneva, Switzerland, marking a significant milestone in the mission to revolutionize breast health diagnostics in Africa and beyond.
The Smart Bra Cup Diagnostics Device is a smart, portable, accessible, and affordable wearable device designed for the early detection of breast cancer. It utilizes non-invasive and painless technology embedded in biocompatible materials to provide accurate and convenient breast health monitoring. This innovative technology ensures painless and frequent monitoring, enabling the detection of breast cancer at its earliest stages.

Her Excellency Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu is, a global cancer advocate, a pediatrician, a UICC Board Member, Founder of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, and the Chairperson of First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC). Dr Bagudu is working with the state ministries of health, education, and women affairs to implement programs to sustainably improve menstrual hygiene, girl-child education, economic empowerment of women, and put an end to gender-based violence.
