5K Run/Walks Continue This Summer – Head for the Cure
Honoring those we’ve lost, patients and survivors, caregivers, and healthcare personnel at our 5K run/walk events and beyond.
On July 13th, Head for the Cure hosted Seattle 5K Run/Walk, and it was an incredible morning! With more than 550 participants and support from sponsors like Evergreen Health, Novocure, and GammaTile, Head for the Cure celebrated with beneficiary partners at the UW-Alvord Brain Tumor Center and new this year, Seattle Children’s Hospital. They officially reached its fundraising goal and raised more than $101,000! Thank you, Seattle!
Then, on July 20th, they held Head for the Cure 5K – Omaha! With more than 1,000 participants and incredible sponsor support, had a wonderful morning! Funds raised from this event will be granted towards the incredible research and patient and caregiver support at the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Leap for a Cure, and new this year, Children’s Nebraska. Head for the Cure is almost at its goal of $100,000! Thank you, Omaha!
Head for the Cure inspires hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy.
