This article examines why biomarkers associated with patient outcomes are not necessarily predictive of treatment-specific benefit.
We propose a mechanistically informed framework for interpreting tumor-derived, immune-cell-derived, inflammatory, and emerging circulating biomarkers, with particular emphasis on dynamic monitoring, composite models, and the requirements for clinical translation.”
