“A very novel study from Yan Sun’s group at Tianjin Cancer Hospital. She has become a leader in functional characterization of MIIP especially through pathological lens. Yan spent a couple of years in my group a while ago, and she has been the Chair in the Department of Pathology at one of the top cancer hospitals in China.
‘Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) contribute to colorectal cancer (CRC) progression, but the underlying regulatory mechanism remains unknown. This study explored how migration and invasion inhibitory protein (MIIP) influences CRC progression by regulating tumor-associated neutrophils (TANs) infiltration and NETs formation.’ ”
