Saul Priceman: New Studies on Improving Therapy Against Prostate Cancer

Saul Priceman, Associate Professor at Keck School of Medicine of USC, and Founding Director of KSOM/Norris Center for Cancer Cellular Immunotherapy Research, shared on LinkedIn:

“Proud to share these two preprints from very talented graduate students in the lab, Cari Young (now postdoc’ing at City of Hope) and Venna Jiangyue Liu (will be a PhD soon at USC). These two studies demonstrate how focal radiation and radioligand therapy (RLT), combined with CAR T cells, improves therapeutic responses aTgainst prostate cancer by targeting tumor heterogeneity and rewiring the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

We are already in a phase 1b trial evaluating metastasis-directed radiotherapy combinations with PSCA-CAR T cells in patients with mCRPC, and will soon initiate a trial with PSMA-targeted RLT combinations! Congrats to both, and to our Priceman lab and our amazing collaborators at UCLA, Monash University, and beyond!
