”Some good news reached me while I was on my flight back to Germany.
I am delighted to share that our IKF-099 / D-FLOT-TNT study has received regulatory approval in Germany and Spain, with India expected to follow soon.
The D-FLOT-TNT study evaluates a novel total neoadjuvant therapy (TNT) strategy for patients with resectable gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancer. Patients receive up to eight preoperative cycles of FLOT plus durvalumab, followed by surgery and durvalumab maintenance only after resection.
Our goal is to eliminate the often challenging and poorly accepted postoperative chemotherapy by shifting treatment intensity to the preoperative setting. We hope that this approach will improve treatment compliance, increase dose intensity, and ultimately enhance pathological complete response (pCR) rates and oncologic outcomes.
This approval marks an important milestone, and I would like to sincerely thank all investigators, study teams, patients, and our partners whose dedication has made this study possible.
