“Delighted to share that the PROTECT-C study pilot is now underway!
PROTECT-C is a UK-wide research study offering genetic testing to people over the age of 18 years, to see whether they have a genetic change that increases their risk of breast, ovary, bowel, and/or womb cancer.
This is regardless of whether they or their families have had cancer.
During this pilot phase, we will recruit around 200 people. Following the pilot, we plan to open the study to recruit the full 5,000 participants across the UK.
PROTECT-C is a Direct to Participant end-to-end Digital study.
Who can take part?
- Women, trans men and non-binary people (registered female at birth)
- Over the age of 18
- Further eligibility criteria on the participant information sheet.
