Pratiti Bandopadhayay Shares Insights on BRAF Fusions in Pediatric Brain Tumors
Pratiti (Mimi) Bandopadhayay, Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Excited to share this preprint on behalf of co-first authors Sean Misek, Anna Borgenvik, Daniel Christen and Gloria Kyrila and our entire collaborative team including Adnan Halim and Hiren Joshi in Copenhagen, Tilman Brummer in Freiburg and Rameen Beroukhim at DFCI, and many other phenomenal collaborators from many sites across the world.
The manuscript is currently going through the review/revision process, however, we wanted to share our results as they have made us think about BRAF (and other) fusions very differently.
The fusion partners matter and represent new therapeutic targets.
This work would not have been possible without countless families, patients, advocates, foundations and other organizations who spearhead almost the entirety of research for children with brain tumors.
We have to keep working as hard as we can until we have effective and safe treatments for every child diagnosed with a brain tumor.”
