Nelson Dusetti, INSERM Research Director at CRCM and Institut Paoli-Calmettes, shared on LinkedIn:
“From pancreatic cancer biology to clinical practice, France and Argentina are strengthening their research collaboration.
On October 29–30, researchers and clinicians will gather in Buenos Aires for the 3rd French-Argentine Workshop on Pancreatic Cancer Research to discuss recent advances in pancreatic cancer.
Jonathan Garnier will provide an update on pancreatic cancer surgery in France, while Emmanuel Mitry will present the joint IPC-CRCM Pancreas Research Program, focused on improving early detection and prevention and developing more personalized treatments.
Nicolas Fraunhoffer will present work addressing one of the major challenges in pancreatic cancer: why tumors resist treatment.
Using single-cell analyses and PANCProfiler, the team is investigating how different cellular states within pancreatic tumors contribute to treatment resistance.
The goal is to identify the cell populations that survive therapy, understand how tumors adapt and uncover new therapeutic vulnerabilities.
The workshop will also mark the launch of the French-Argentine Consortium for Pancreatic Cancer Research, building on longstanding collaborations with Juan Iovanna, Eduardo Chuluyan and colleagues in Argentina.”
