Cancer Research Institute (CRI) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Yuxuan Wang et al. published in Cancer Discovery:
“How could multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests revolutionize cancer treatment?
At Johns Hopkins Medicine, researchers found that this blood test could detect cancer DNA more than three years before a patient receives a clinical diagnosis.
‘Three years earlier provides time for intervention. The tumors are likely to be much less advanced and more likely to be curable,’ emphasizes lead author Dr. Yuxuan Wang.
