“I am thrilled to share our latest research published in Pediatric Blood and Cancer, which explores the impact of blinatumomab on the immune recovery of infants with B-cell ALL.

While adding blinatumomab to standard chemotherapy has significantly improved outcomes for infants with KMT2A-rearranged acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) – achieving an impressive 93.3% overall survival in our pilot study – it comes with a known challenge: immunoglobulin G (IgG) depletion.

Why this matters: Understanding these recovery patterns is crucial for developing better infection-prevention strategies and guiding IVIg supplementation.

We recommend that future trials continue to monitor immune reconstitution to further refine care for these high-risk infants.”
