Michael Gibson: EPIC17-VERONICA Trial Shows No Benefit of Platelet Reactivity-Guided De-Escalation

Michael Gibson, CEO of Baim Institute for Clinical Research, shared on X:

“EPIC17-VERONICA trial: Platelet reactivity testing to guide P2Y12 inhibitor de-escalation showed a neutral effect on the primary endpoint of net adverse clinical events at 12-month follow-up in ACS patients with very low platelet reactivity, demonstrating no significant reduction in events compared with continuation of potent P2Y12 inhibitors.”
