“For years, first-line HER2-positive stomach and esophageal cancers leaned on trastuzumab plus chemo. Progress was real – but overall survival still left too many families short of the time they needed. FDA just approved zanidatamab (Ziihera) regimens in that first-line setting.
In HERIZON-GEA-01, the bispecific HER2 antibody with tislelizumab and chemo reached median overall survival of 26.4 months versus 19.2 with trastuzumab plus chemo. Companion diagnostics came with it. Precision oncology that patients can actually feel.”
