Kurt Van der Speeten: Standardising Cytoreductive Surgery Reporting to Advance Research and Patient Outcomes

Kurt Van der Speeten, Prof. of Pharmacology, Prof. of Surgery at Hasselt University, shared on LinkedIn:

“When surgical oncologists and gynaecological oncologists from three international scientific organisations publish a trans-society consensus on synoptic reporting of cytoreductive surgical procedures, then that is a milestone!

Structured and standardised reporting of CRS leads to standardized databases, which in turn leads to better quality research and eventually better outcomes for our patients.

Humbled to be part of this consensus group spearheaded by Aditi Bhatt and Olivier Glehen.”
