Katy Beckermann, Medical Director of GU Clinical Research at Tennessee Oncology shared on X:
“ENZAMET at 8 years shows the early benefit persists vs nonsteroidal antiandrogen
- Median OS 7.9 vs 5.8 yr, HR 0.73
- 8-yr clinical PFS 43% vs 20%
- Deaths from other causes 78 vs 76, no excess
- Falls were more frequent (0.70 vs 0.24 per 100 person-yr).
Why this matters for your practice: the comparator is a first-generation NSAA, so this does not re-rank first-line choices.
It does give the maturest long-term safety read on an ARPI in mHSPC. Congrats to Christopher Sweene and huge team, recognition for this longterm effort.”
