Katarzyna Pogoda, Medical Oncologist at Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m delighted to share our latest publication on HER2 changes following neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer.
This study, based on a large real-world cohort of 736 patients, shows that HER2 status changes in approximately one-third of tumors, with downregulation occurring more frequently than HER2 gain. These findings highlight the importance of reassessing HER2 status in residual disease to support optimal post-neoadjuvant treatment decisions.
A heartfelt thank you to my colleagues and our entire team for their outstanding collaboration, dedication, and hard work throughout this project. It has been a privilege to work together.
It is time to take a closer look at HER2 dynamics after neoadjuvant therapy and their clinical significance.”
