“Precision oncology is still largely defined by genomic testing. But many of our newest cancer drugs aren’t.
In our Australian network-wide study combining liquid biopsy, molecular tumour board review and trial navigation:
- 7% of patients received genomically matched targeted therapy.
- 47% enrolled in an early-phase clinical trial.
- 70% of those trial enrolments were into ADC studies.
Genomics remains essential, but it cannot be the only layer defining precision oncology.
The therapeutic landscape has changed. Our biomarker strategies need to change with it.”
