Humaid AI-Shamsi: The Importance of Building Diverse High-Quality Global Cancer Datasets

Humaid AI-Shamsi, Chairman at Nexomic, CEO of Burjeel Cancer Institute, and President of the Emirates Oncology Society, shared on LinkedIn:

”Proud to share my 34th peer-reviewed publication of 2026, published in Journal of Clinical Oncology Global Oncology.

This international collaboration highlights the importance of building diverse, high-quality global cancer datasets to advance precision oncology and AI-driven research.

Maintaining an active 5-day-a-week clinical practice, alongside significant leadership responsibilities, makes every publication especially meaningful to me.

Research requires time, discipline, and consistency, and I am proud to be among the most academically productive oncologists in the MENA region while continuing to keep patient care at the center of everything I do.

I am equally proud that Burjeel Cancer Institute is the only cancer center from the UAE participating in the WIN Consortium, contributing our expertise and perspective to this important global initiative.

From the UAE to the world.

Thank you to WIN Consortium in cancer personalized medicine, Wafik S. El-Deiry and Razelle Kurzrock for the opportunity and collaboration, your effort to drive the global precision oncology is commendable.”
