“Final results from the EORTC SPECTA Arcagen study, published in Nature Communications, highlight the potential of comprehensive molecular profiling to expand personalised treatment opportunities for patients with rare cancers.

Conducted in partnership with EURACAN, this pan-European initiative delivered molecular profiling for approximately 900 patients across 11 rare cancer domains in 13 countries. The study identified actionable molecular alterations in nearly 70% of patients.

The findings demonstrate how large-scale genomic profiling can help guide treatment decisions while highlighting persistent disparities in access to precision medicine across Europe.
