Digestive Cancers Europe shared on LinkedIn:
“Today, during the 2nd day of UEGWeek2026 in Barcelona, UEG – United European Gastroenterology officially launched its new Patient Representatives Advisory Board (PRAB), with Zorana Maravic joining as a representative of Digestive Cancers Europe.
Over the next three years, we will work with seven other European patient organisations, namely AOECS – Gluten Free Alliance, ECPObesity, European Liver Patients’ Association – ELPA, EOS Network Eosinophilic Diseases Charity, International Football Coaching Conference Australia (IFCCA), International Liver Cancer Movement and Pancreatic Cancer Europe, to ensure that patients’ voices and needs are meaningfully reflected across UEG’s policy, advocacy, research and educational activities.
Through this collaboration, DiCE will help bring the perspectives of people affected by digestive cancers into discussions on shared challenges, including prevention, early diagnosis, screening, access to care and patient-centred research.
We welcome this important step towards closer collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers and patient organisations.
Patients should not only be heard but also actively involved in shaping decisions that affect their health and care.”
